why would people vote for JFK?
John F. Kennedy is the man for the job in the year of 1961. He puts himself before others, has a great background, and has a political past.
The Societal Requirements
What does the public look for in a president?
They look at the looks, the education, the background of the president, they want someone like them.
With John F. Kennedy, people liked how his family had money (they were one of the wealthiest families in the United States at the time). He loved sports and politics when he was in school. He went to Harvard and was on the swim team. After graduating, he eventually went to the Navy. After leaving the Navy, he was in the House of Representatives for 6 years then he was in the Senate for 7 years.
